By foot from the Locarno railway station (10 minutes)
Leave the Locarno railway station in the direction of Piazza Grande. Continue across Piazza Grande. Then you will see the Hotel “dell’Angelo” at the End of the Piazza Grande. After this hotel turn right and go up the alleyway “Via alla Motta”. After ca. 100 meters you will find the sign for “Residenza Motta” on the left. The reception is situated in the courtyard of the house.
With the car
Entering the city of Locarno you automatically arrive at a big roundabout (direction from the tunnel Mappo-Morettina or from Ascona). Leave the big roundabout in the direction of “Città Vecchia/Locarno-Monti”. Turn right after the first traffic light (Via B. Varenna) and go towards the Old Town (Città Vecchia). On the right side you will see the church “San Francesco”. Go ahead (ca. 200 Meters) and you will see on your right the food shop “Alimentari Suini”. Go straight on another 50 meters and you will see on the left side a fountain. At the right side is the alleyway “Via della Motta”. Here is our house Residenza Motta. Parking in this street is allowed only to load and unload your luggage. The reception is situated in the courtyard of the building.
